OMD3- Polka Dot

Grrr…. have not been doing much nail painting and I feel like it is because I am becoming depressed. The demotion is not all that bad, but some of the other supervisors are treating me different though I did nothing wrong, I did not ask for this and I feel that it was done due to my boss does not like me. The break-up is doing its thing we are trying to both do our own thing, but live together so we see each other every day and still nit pick at each other. I am feeling a bit lonely as I feel like I have lost a few friends in the matter as well. It could be me pulling away or I’m just imagining things. On to the mani. I saw this really pretty picture of black nails with colorful polka dots and was going to do the same thing, as I was putting one of the colors in I thought it looked cool the way it was so left it alone. I got lazy and did not want to walk to my nail polish bin so I just used the colors that I never put away that I used on my last mani.

I also forgot to show my new hair color, I have had it in for about a month now and am about to change it to purple. I decided to try the grey style that has been going around. It was fun for a bit, not sure if I will circle back around to it.

OMD3- Colorful

I am soooo behind with this challenge,but plan to catch up before the end. Life has gotten crazy again and out of hand. Now I’m dealing with a break-up and a demotion at my job. The break-up was my doing so I should not be feeling any type of way, but it is still an experience to go through as we still live together and are working out the kinks till the lease is up. The demotion hurt my pride a bit,but it did come with some perks. I can now read the 700+ e-mails sitting in my g-mail which mostly consist of other beautiful nail art, I can get back to reading again. I used to finish 5 books a month now I barely even finish 1 in a month.

The prompt I am on now is colorful. I saw this pretty mani and wanted to recreated it. I am hiding my pinky nail as I broke it off partying too hard the night before :(.

I think I am taking a Hiatis on the challenges and just doing what I feel or like at the moment. There are also tons of old challenges that I never did and can do them at my own pace.  I felt inspired by my phone background to do a matching mani.

Seems like I am getting back in the swing of doing my nails again. Instead of 2-3 designs a week I was doing 1 every two weeks.  I felt inspired to do ice cream cones due to the nice weather and the memorial day holiday.

So I based my mani today on one of my new nail polishes that I have not used before. It is Salons Perfects glitter topper .  I was going to do a dry water marble but the boyfriend try to do a real water marble again. I have not does it in so long and in the past they came out so bad that I was a bit hesitant. This time I’m not sure what I did different, but it was a success!

1st Christmas mani for the month

I couldn’t come up with a fancy tittle for this one so I’m calling it what it is. Nothing hard on my part was done to do this mani. I used purple for my background which is not a traditional Christmas color and used water nail art stickers I bought from either Amazon.com or Banggood.com. I added gold starts and I think it just makes it pop. I love how the purple turned out with the green and white stickers. I was about to give up on this as the stickers kept not being flimsy for me to put on my nails and I could not figure out why. Turns out I was not taking the plastic cover off before placing the sticker in the water.  Plan on seeing more of these type of manis to come in the future as this was super easy!

It seems my daughter got in the mood to do some nail art of her own. Am I the only mom that gets squeemish when their kids say they want to use their polish? She came up with this idea all on her own and I am a pretty proud mamma.

DWTS inspired mani- Emma

I am a bit behind with my inspired DWTS  manis. This one was inspired by Emma’s outfit. They did a partner swap and she was dancing with Tommy Chong. I wanted to do a half moon jamaican mani, but it did not turn out the way I pictured it in my head.

I got a lot of compliments on this one. I always look at them like they are crazy, of all the crazy stuff I have done you like the simplest thing that I can do. Oh well ! My One Friend said it reminded her of the drink Tequila Sunrise :

I can see what she is talking about.  I had to take 2 pics as the one in natural light did not show how bright the mani looked.
