N.A.I.L.- New Years

So I was looking for inspiration online for my New Years nail promt for the last N.A.I.L. prompt of the year. I think I found it and will not be doing it till tonight in time for the holiday, but I could not pass up on this awesome mani I saw online. Sorry there was no name of the artist who did this. Instead of using what looks like a pixie dust purple that I did not have I decided to use a light purple I already had and put a glitter top coat on instead. Different looks, but I still like the way mine turned out. * did not have time to do mani I wanted so kept this one on instead*

What is a girl to do, waiting for her nails to grow back so unable to do art on her nails……swatches! I have the free time why the hell not.

Ruby Kisses is one of my favorite polishes to buy, not only are the colors pretty, but there are cheap as well I get the bottles for a dollar a piece at the store where I buy my hair (if ya didn’t know I have weave in my hair most of the time). It is a creme base polish with smooth application and they also make glitter polish.

Let me see your Peacock….

So for Halloween this year I saw this awesome Halloween costume that was a peacock. The upside it had a flowing tail, and stand up peacock feathers, the downside was it was $137. After some financial advice from the boyfriend and co-workers I decided to make one on my own. I will have picks for that later but I do have the nail design I decided to do.I did a base coat of Salley Hansen Scarab,then I did a drop from the nail polish brush of  Pure Ice Magnetic Totally Amp, next on top of that Ruby Kisses Neon Green, and finally on top of that Ruby Kisses Regaled Out Blue. For a top coat I used Ruby Kisses Crazy Night Out.

I did this design for a friends wedding. I treated all the nails as the engagement ring and the ring finger as the wedding ring. For the middle of the engagement rings I put in individual pieces of glitter. Hopefully I will get better at this posting and picture taking thing 🙂
