Tropical Gradient

Wow, I have been gone for a long time. So much has happen. I have moved twice, gotten back with the ex, been laid off from my job, and working somewhere new. I have not really painted my nails in a long time , but this new place feels like home and I am inspired again.

I saw this post somewhere else and loved the colors and tried to recreate it my way. Whomever did this I wish I could extend the credit. I had it in my to try folder for so long that I don’t remember what I searched to find it.

Scattered Seashells on the Beach

Hello All,

 

I am so happy I am in a nail mood again and am painting my nails more frequently. Don’t worry my life is still a mess, but my nails don’t have to reflect that. I decided to do some beach nails inspired by my new nail polish called Shattered Seashells that I picked up and Five Below.  The mani came out surprisingly well and people knew what it was when I showed them so that always is a plus. I love how the glitter polish looks just like crushed seashells on the beach.

Pink and Purple Nails

Sometimes simple is better. I got new polishes at Five Below and want to use them right away. I decided to paint each finger an opposite color and it look nice that I did not add glitter or a design. I might go home and add something later just to jazz it up.

I still have not gone out and bought new  tips so  I can do acrylic manicures so I am using the full nails that I had left over from a long time ago. They barely stay on longer than a day, but I can paint them and take a picture before they start popping off.

Cheetah Print over fiery gradient

Yay, 1st post of the new year and it is a beautiful one.  I say some cool nail art online with neon polish and was bummed when I could not find my Highlighter yellow, either someone stole it or I lost it. I worked with what I had and tried a different approach to a gradient then I normally do and it turned out great. My nails looked so cool that my roommate asked me to do hers in gold and black.

I finally got to do my daughters nails again. She rarely ask me and it kills me as I have all of these polishes and ideas for her and she would rather paint her nails herself. I used a shimmery gray background that she picked out and my gold dragon decal stickers. It was her idea to add the red gems in the corner.  New Years is a 80’s/90’s theme. I’m not sure if I am participating yet order not, I had a outfit all picked out for a regular new years. If I can’t find a neon tutu and some neon leg warmers to go over leggings I am going to dress regular.

Very Purpley over Where is my Czechbook

I have not done many Christmas themed manis this year and it maybe due to I’m not really in the Christmas spirit. The weather right now is 73 degrees and we have not had snowfall yet, not that I’m complaining. My basement flooded this am so I am really not in a festive mood. My mani was simple I just layered my new Funky Fingers glitter over light blue polish and viola!

Pink Christmas

So I have not done as many Christmas manis as I expected, but I felt inspired to create something somewhat original than copy off of what someone else did. I have to work out a my gradient method as it did not work out as well as I planned. I tried the paint the colors directly on a sponge method, I’m just not happy with the color blend it was not as dramatic as I expected. I used some x-mas water decal stickers that I had left over from last year and clear and blue matching gems.

Travel to Another Galaxy

My new Ipsy bag is gorgeous, it is black with bright pink and blue  galaxies over it. I was inspired to do a galaxy mani because of it. The mani turned out prettier than what I have tried in the past, but it was not as pink as I wanted it to be. I forgot to add the white dots for stars but it still turned out pretty

Getting back into this swing of things here is a mani that I am actually proud of. I’m a little hung over and don’t have much to say as I am trying to stay awake at work right now.
